Towering Ambition
This City project will provide 235 homes in a landmark 27 storey tower, one of relatively few residential towers to be built in the heart of the capital. Barratt London is working with housing association L&Q to deliver the 90-metre high building. The £100 million scheme has been designed by BFLS and is being delivered by RMA Architects. The scheme is being developed on a former warehouse site and is part of the Aldgate masterplan. The block has curving elevations and features balconies to many of the open plan living/kitchen/dining areas. The tower will provide apartments for sale, rent and shared ownership, and will incorporate ground floor retail space. Next to the main building there will be a smaller seven-storey block. In total the mixed-use development will provide more than 170,000 sq ft of residential space and 14,000 sq ft of commercial space. A new public plaza will link the development to the surrounding streets. |
