Introducing the Awards, Ian Davis, NHBC Operations Director, said: “NHBC is delighted to sponsor the British Homes Awards, which showcase the best of well designed environmentally-sensitive housing schemes.

“It is an extremely exciting and challenging time for the UK's house-building industry with issues surrounding sustainability and the drive for zero carbon homes shaping the future of UK housing. Whilst NHBC fully supports the industry in meeting the target to cut carbon emissions, it is essential that consumers are not used as 'guinea pigs' for technologies and systems before they are thoroughly tested and accredited.
