Architect shed km was charged by Urban Splash with the task of keeping the best characteristics of Victorian terraced housing - but giving the interior all the features people want from a twenty first century home. Their solution to this challenge came from reversing the internal layout of the house, moving living space from the ground floor to the first floor and bringing the bedrooms down to ground floor level.
To the rear of the house at first floor level there is a raised terrace garden that cleverly conceals carport-style parking space below.
