Home Zed includes a wood-fired boiler system, solar heating panels on the roof and photovoltaic panels. While the average UK home of similar size uses 14,000kWh of energy per year, Home Zed uses only 350kWh. Solar energy for water heating and generating electricity, as well as water recycling, will, it is claimed, produce savings of £2,493 a year. |
