Although a modern insertion into an ultra-conventional environment of older homes that could be described as bland and mock traditional, the neighbours should not have been unsettled by its arrival. Its owners, a young family, simply wanted a fresh, contemporary version of the suburban house type. The lower block is aligned with neighbouring traditional houses, while the upper rendered block cantilevers out at the front, reaching out to welcome arriving guests.
