Designed by Wayland Tunley, Mill View stands on the banks of the Great Ouse in the village of Eaton Socon. Here on riverside land last occupied by a garden centre Archstone built five linked villas, six townhouses and 12 apartments. Architecturally the design of the new homes is sympathetic to an adjacent Rivermill, without being deferential as they have a contemporary design.. The homes have higher space standards than normally realised on similar footprints and are designed to make the best of the views and sunshine, from large patios and balconies. The Judges of the National HomeBuilder Design Awards considered this scheme to be the worthy winner of the Best Housing Development of the Year category.
