This piece of architectural perfection has, as its name suggests, been created from the unpromising raw material of a dairy. To effect the transformation, the dairy’s aged lean-to sheds were removed and an extension added to provide sufficient space for family-sized accommodation with four to five bedrooms, three bathrooms, generous circulation space and well-proportioned rooms. That extension is, as our judges acknowledged, a restrained and carefully considered architectural tour de force. |
